Bands of America 2018 Bands of America Championship event in Orlando Florida.   This will be a great competition and a fun trip for the students.  Information is available on the BOA Website here.

All students are to arrive at school on Friday at 5:30 am SHARP!

Saturday’s BOA performance: Camping World Stadium 1 Citrus Bowl Place Orlando, FL 32805List of items that students need to make sure they have for travel:

  • change of clothing for 5 day stay (travel in practice clothes on Friday)
  • blacks, band shoes, & gloves (everything needed for Saturday’s performance)
  • show shirts
  • necessary toiletries
  • needed medication (must be in original bottle)
  • spending money for daily lunch & dinner (approx. $30 a day/breakfast will be provided)
  • pack a lunch for Friday (bottled drinks only)
  • snacks (bottled drinks only/snacks help cut back on spending)
  • water cooler (for practice)
  • one large luggage bag and one carry on


  • 5:30am Students arrive to School
  • 6:30am Depart for Lake Howell High School –  Bag lunch on bus
  • 4:30ish Dinner in transit
  • 6:00pm Rehearsal at Lake Howell High School
  • 9:00pm Leave Lake Howell High School head to Hotel Rosen Inn
  • 9:30pm Arrive at Rosen Inn


  • 7:30am Load for rehearsal
  • 8:00am Rehearsal at Lake Howell High School
  • 11:00am Eat, Pack, Dress, and Load (Lunch provided by BPA)
  • 1:00pm Depart for Camping World Stadium
  • 4:15pm Cleveland Performance Evening schedule TBD (dependent on results for Finals)


  • 8:30am Load for Universal Studios
  • 9:00am Arrive at Universal Studios (all day)
  • 8:00pm Load and return to hotel Rosen Inn


  • 8:30am Load for Universal Studios
  • 9:00am Arrive at Universal Studios (all day)
  • 8:00pm Load and return to hotel Rosen Inn


  • 5:00am Load buses
  • 6:00am Depart hotel for Clayton, NC Lunch stop TBD
  • 5:30pm ETA to Cleveland High School
  • 6pm NHS Induction Ceremony at Cleveland High School

Universal tickets that were purchased by parents and others may be picked up on Sunday morning before our departure to the park at the students hotel, Rosen Inn. We will be leaving the hotel promptly at 8:30am.

If you are planning to have your student leave Florida early with you or stay in Florida longer with you, We will need a written and signed statement from you before our departure to Florida so that necessary arrangements can be made. If we do not receive this in a timely manner your student will be traveling back home with the band.
